Here at Discover Gymnastics, our recreational program is designed to teach flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness using gymnastics skills while building positive self-esteem in a relaxed, fun, yet challenging atmosphere. We believe in developing a successful gymnast both physically and emotionally. Our recreational program is designed to build gymnastics skills through progression. Activities include bars, tumbling, vault, balance beam, and trampoline. We offer classes designed to meet each child on his or her individual level. Gymnastics instruction is provided by our trained teaching staff and focuses on teaching the basic body positions and foundation skills of the beginning levels, to the more challenging and difficult skills of the more advanced levels. Gymnasts should wear leotards or athletic shorts and a t-shirt. No socks or jewelry, and long hair tied back.

Fall 2021

Level 1 Girls 6+

This class is 1 hour and 10 minutes in length and is designed as an introduction to gymnastics for beginners. Students learn to perform basic gymnastics skills on each apparatus, as well as general coordination, physical strength, and conditioning.

This intermediate beginner class follows the completion of Girls Level 1 and is 1 hour and 10 minutes in length. Students continue to refine existing skills and expand on their gymnastics vocabulary.

This intermediate class follows the completion of Girls Level 1, Prep 2, and is 1 hour and 10 minutes in length. Students continue to improve their previously learned skills and begin new skills on each apparatus.
