Welcome to Discover Gymnastics, where our recreational program is meticulously crafted to instill flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness through the art of gymnastics. Our mission is not just to build physical prowess but to foster positive self-esteem in a dynamic yet inviting atmosphere. We are dedicated to cultivating both the physical and emotional success of every gymnast. The structure of our recreational program is designed for skill development through a thoughtful progression, covering activities such as bars, tumbling, vault, balance beam, and trampoline. Classes are thoughtfully tailored to meet each child at their unique level, ensuring personalized growth. Our qualified teaching staff focuses on imparting fundamental body positions and foundational skills at the beginner levels, progressing seamlessly to the more challenging and intricate skills at the advanced levels. To enhance the learning experience and maintain a safe environment, we encourage gymnasts to wear leotards or athletic shorts with a t-shirt, while refraining from wearing socks or jewelry and keeping long hair securely tied back. Join us for an enriching gymnastics journey where skill mastery meets emotional well-being.

In both our recreational and competitive programs, we recognize that our role extends beyond imparting gymnastics skills; we are dedicated to shaping character and instilling confidence in our students.

While their engagement in gymnastics activities may vary, our commitment remains steadfast in fostering a sense of community. Summer 2024

Girls Level 1 (6yrs+)

This class is 1 hour and 10 minutes in length and is designed as an introduction to gymnastics for beginners. Students learn to perform basic gymnastics skills on each apparatus, as well as general coordination, physical strength, and conditioning. The goal for our Level 1 gymnasts is to instill strong foundations, good habits, and confidence into new gymnasts. This class emphasizes properly starting and ending skills, learning terminology, developing basic skills, and building strength and flexibility.

Girls Prep 2 (6yrs+)

This intermediate beginner class follows the completion of Girls Level 1 and is 1 hour and 10 minutes in length. Students continue to refine existing skills and expand on their gymnastics vocabulary. The focus of prep 2 is to continue the development of gymnasts skills, strength, and flexibility. Strong basic skills and strength development are key points for this group of gymnasts.

Girls Level 2 (6yrs+)

This intermediate class follows the completion of Girls Level 1, Prep 2, and is 1 hour and 10 minutes in length. Students continue to improve their previously learned skills and begin new skills on each apparatus. Level 2 gymnasts are cleaning up basic skills and learning progressions. This group has an emphasis on strength development and technique.

Girls Prep 3 (6yrs+)

This advanced class follows the completion of Girls Level 1, Prep 2, Level 2, and extends to 1 hour and 30 minutes in length. Students will have more time to strengthen their current skill level, as well as building confidence to advance upward to invitational Girls Level 3. Gymnasts focus on clean basic skills and their upgrades on all events. Good attitude, sportsmanship, and determination are important qualities for Prep 3 gymnasts to develop and model.
